Protection Intervention for Persons with Specific Needs…

Organized by UNHCR Turkey, the training on “Protection Intervention for Persons with Specific Needs” attended by representatives of institutions operating in the field of protection, social cohesion and humanitarian aid throughout Turkey was held in Antalya between 10-13 October 2022.

International Protection, Temporary Protection, legal procedures, interview techniques and the PEACE Model, Case Management and Supervision, Identification and Referral Mechanisms of Persons with Specific Needs, UNCHR Cas-based and Non-Cash Aids, Gender and Basic GBV Concepts, GBV Prevention, Risk Reduction and Mainstreaming, Sexual Exploitation and Prevention of Abuse were discussed in detail during the four-day training.

In this program, which was carried out by the UNHCR protection unit by experts in the field, the participants had the chance to experience many different cases in practice with the case analysis method. This training, which has the feature of a platform for sharing experience, also contributed to the creation of regional cooperations.
