Visit by United Nations

Alvaro RODRIGUEZ, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkey, and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mehmet DUMAN, WALD Chairman of the Executive Board. In the meeting conducted at the WALD office at Sultanahmet, Bülent AÇIKGÖZ, Partnerships and Development Finance Officer at United Nations Resident Coordination Office Turkey accompanied to Alvaro RODRIGUEZ. 

Parties discussed the cooperation areas, specifically on the Sustainable Development Goals. It was underlined that the SDGs are important steps for all local and regional governments in the world and the partners should consider the goals from the perspectives of the benefits they bring. 

After the meeting where possible cooperation areas were evaluated, Mehmet DUMAN, WALD Chairman of the Executive Board, thanked Alvaro RODRIGUEZ, UN Resident Coordinator in Turkey, for his kind visit and presented him a plaque.
